Who are Te Deum Singers?

Te Deum Singers are a community choir in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We practice and perform concerts together for the joy of singing, the delight of others, and the glory of God. We enjoy dynamic and positive leadership along with expert vocal instruction. We achieve excellence within a relaxed and collegial atmosphere.

Our focus is on sacred choral music and our performances often feature the great composers and great works of the classical choral tradition. However, we also sing lesser-known and contemporary pieces from a variety of genres, including spiritual arrangements and some “lighter” sacred works.

Each year we prepare and perform two concerts: one for the Advent/Christmas season and one in Spring. Each concert consists of two performances. We may schedule additional, optional performances.

Concerts often include works accompanied by an instrumental ensemble, but we perform pieces
a cappella as well.

Our choir is composed of approximately 75 men and women, young and old, from a variety of backgrounds and range of experience. We enjoy challenge and reward of rehearsing and performing classical choral masterpieces and exciting contemporary works.
